Singular: Snakatoo, 'Too, Snaka
Plural: Snakatoo, 'Toos, Snaks
Snakatoo were not always the way they are now. They originated from what we call Tribal 'Toos, and were experimented on by humans to create the food-themed creatures we know and love today.
However, one of these experiments went wrong, spreading the Corruption through several 'Toos, and the humans fled the Evelyyan isle in fear it would spread to them as well. Most 'Toos escaped from the facility, and started a new life, colonizing parts of the island as theirs. As extremely intelligent creatures, it didn't take long for them to form a society and build settlements on their own.
Corrupt 'Toos were feared and shunned for many years, and only recently have they been hesitantly accepted back into the fray as their aggressive tendencies mellowed with time. Worldly 'Toos consider themselves above treating others in such a way, and make good effort to welcome their bretheren with open arms.
Now, Corrupt and Worldly 'Toos generally live in peace. There is commotion from time to time, but nothing serious. Together, they have cracked the barrier into the realm of magic, and unlocked the secrets of changing their very forms...
Worldly Snakatoo

Thought to be the most friendly species there is, Snakatoo are quite abundant on the island of Evelyyan. They enjoy chatting and making friends with just about anyone. These are your average Snakatoo, the most common type there is. They work many jobs, from teaching to engineering. It's much easier for them to gain new traits than any other type of 'Too.

Those who believe all Snakatoo are friendly are gravely mistaken. There is little worse to come by than a Corrupt 'Too with a horrible temper... and that's pretty common, considering most of them have bad tempers. This strain of Snakatoo is not quite as abundant as Worldly 'Toos, but is much more common than any other type. Almost any species of Snakatoo can become corrupt, but they can never be turned back. Generally, they are not as looked down upon as one might expect, but they are well paid for military work despite their aggression.
Factions
While most Snakatoo have adopted a modern and civil lifestyle, the six factions still remain strong to this day. Each proclaiming their servitude to a different Great Being, most often the one from which their species was created.
While this is not true for every 'Too, it is widespread enough to be a general assumption.
Aspicien

Child of the Moon and ruler of dreams, Aspicien is the most fearsome out of all Great Beings. He judges those who pass, and deem them either fit or unfit for rebirth. As the Corrupt and Clonetoo were not created by the paws of Motoklo, he has taken them under his reign. Those who worship him are often cunning and intelligent.
Humilem

Worker of the Soil, protector of all, Humilem does not take his status lightly. All of his time is spent working to shelter those in need and defend the innocent. His bretheren are the Tunneltoo and Goliath 'Toos, and it shows both physically and on the inside. All those who pay tribute to Humilem are humble and trustworthy.

Blessed with the gift of flight, the Shaper of the Clouds watches over all with the gaze of an eagle. She personally watches over Hullock, and is very involved in the lives of her disciples. Her creations, Microtoo and Snakagryphs, are some of the most important members of the city - always perceptive and curious.
Apricum
ah-PRE-sum
Apricum is the counterpart to Aspicien, Lord of the Sun. Their mighty roar shakes the very earth when they greet the dawn. They gives new life to those who pass, and often helps those in need. Snakatoo say they are the new incarnation of Motoklo, and treat them as such. Those that follow Apricum are brave and benevolent.

Ieiunium, often called only Iei, is the solitary Hunter of the Deep. She is very rarely seen, but her presence can always be felt, surrounding those in her favor. She brings peace and silence to the world with her lovely melodies. Weinertoo and Tooraria alike claim they can hear it when they sleep.

Bound in chains at the bottom of the Birther of Ra, Ifrenis is known as the Prince of Flames. His rage causes the very mountains to spew forth molten bile, leaving devastation in its wake. For now, he slumbers, though many await his eventual escape. His creations, Dwarf 'Too and Royal 'Too, often follow him blindly.
Anatomy
Snakatoo are foxlike creatures tentatively classified of the family Bellaridae.
Their flesh (ears, eyes, noses, tongues, cheeks and pawpads) all share the coloration of their blood.Their claws also share the color of their blood, but their bones are always white.All Snakatoo freely change between anthro and feral locomotion, and often balance on their tails.Snakatoo have forked tongues as well as venomous fangs.All Snakatoo have cheek pouches which balloon up when irritated and allow them to spit venom up to six feet.Their paws have 3-5 fingers, and they have retractable claws.The inside of their ears is always ribbed, and the blood color fades to white.Snakatoo have many body types, but the most common is fairly rounded out.They are generally about three feet tall when standing at full height.Snakatoo don't have a visible iris, just a pupil and a sclera.Eye color follows the blood, so traits like heterochromia can be achieved with dual colored blood.

Snakatoo blood can be a little tricky, but just remember:
Their blood shows in the ears, nose, mouth, cheeks, pawpads, and claws.The lighter the blood color, the more friendly the Snakatoo is.Blood cannot be completely white, and completely black blood is a Corrupt trait.If there are multiple colors, they should be evenly distributed throughout the blood.While their flesh is affected by blood color, their bones are only white.
As for mutations, illegal traits, and other parts, here is a good guide:
If it is composed of an organ, muscle, keratin, chitin, or bare skin that is not the majority of the body, it must show the blood color.
If it is composed of bone (not chitin or keratin), it must be white.
This includes but is not limited to the membrane in leather or chitin wings, the membrane in fins, horns, hooves, claws, avian legs, whiskers, antennae, cheek pouches, underbelly scales, beaks, mucous membranes, and chelipeds.

A Snakatoo's skeletal system is fairly similar to that of a human's, aside from the skull and legs. For the most part it can be drawn as such, adhering to the way the human skeleton can move and rotate. However, Snakatoo bones are much more resilient than a human's.
The muscular system is also very similar to a human's, though there are more muscles in the legs to facilitate quadrupedal movement as well as bipedal movement. The muscles in their tails are generally extremely strong as well as prehensile, able to easily lift the Snakatoo's weight and hold onto branches.
The organs of a Snakatoo are a mixture of vulpine and human, but the part unique to Snakatoo are the venom sacs found in their cheeks.
While there are a wide variety of genders, Snakatoo have three sexes - male, female, and neutrois. There is no visible difference between the three genders outside of breeding (breasts, sheath, or otherwise). Neutrois Snakatoo have malformed reproductive organs, they are infertile and incapable of producing children in any way. This is most often caused by the Snakatoo being lab-grown, or by certain traits interfering with their reproductive system; however they can also simply be born this way with no real explanation.
Corrupt Snakatoo are able to reproduce, provided guro or bone growth does not interfere with their reproductive systems.
Snakatoo reproductive organs best match those of canines and vulpines. Reproduction can only happen with one Snakatoo each of male and female sex. The male's penis is long and pointed with a knot in the middle, and the female's uterus is large and spacious enough for litters of up to six. Female Snakatoo give live birth after a gestation period of about 2 months, and nurse their young for another month after that. When nursing, the Snakatoo's eight nipples are usually visible.
